IZMIR KÖFTE (Turkish dish with meat patties and potatoes)

Ingredients:
*For the patties:
- 500 gr ground beef
- 1 onion, grated
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbsp bread crumbs
- 1 handful parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper

- 4 potatoes
- 2 green peppers
- 6 cherry tomateoes

*For the sauce:
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 2 cups hot water
- Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:
1) Add the onion to the meat. Stir in the egg, bread crumbs, parsley, cumin, salt and pepper and mix well with your hands
2) For the meat mixture into long oval shaped patties
3) Peel and slice the potatoes in half moon. Slice the green peppers in a few pieces. Slice the cherry tomatoes in half
4) Set the potatoes, meat patties, peppers and cherry tomatoes into a baking dish
5) In a bowl, combine all of the sauce ingredients and pour in the dish
6) Bake the dish in a 200°C preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes
7) Serve the dish with Turkish yogurt
