KADAYIF TATLISI (Turkish dessert made from shredded wheat with nuts and sugar syrup)

Ingredients:
- 400 g kadayif (a type of thin Turkish noodles made from shredded wheat)
- 150 g unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups walnuts, finely chopped

*For the syrup:
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
- 1 tsp lemon juice

Directions:
1) Pick the kadayif slightly apart and mix with the melted butter
2) Put a layer kadayif in a (little) bowl, stuff with chopped walnuts
3) Cover the walnuts with some kadayif and turn it into a baking sheet
4) Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 25 minutes, until golden brown
5) In the meantime bring the sugar and water to a boil to make a syrup
6) Pour the hot syrup evenly over the hot kadayif and let sit for at least 4-5 hours
7) Serve cold with Turkish tea
