Ingredients:
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 800 ml canned whole plum tomatoes
- 1 L chicken broth
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1) In a large pan, soften the onions and garlic in the olive oil on medium heat
2) Add the tomatoes, broth and dried oregano. Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 30 minutes
3) Season with salt and pepper to taste
4) Purée until smooth with a blender
5) Serve hot with roasted bread
