PISI (Turkish fried bread)

Ingredients:
- 320 g all purpose flour
- 225 ml lukewarm water
- 1 Tbsp dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp caster sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- Vegetable oil for frying

Directions:
1) Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, add the yeast, sugar and water. Mixing to dissolve the yeast first. Knead until a smooth and elastic dough begins to form
2) Cover and let sit for about 1 hour
3) Heat a large pot oil. Divide dough into mandarin size balls. Flatten each dough out with your fingers
4) Fry both sides until golden brown for about 2-3 minutes over medium heat. Repeat with remaining dough
